Has Infosys and Chainlink Joined Hands to Expand On-chain Finance

Infosys is taking a deeper step into institutional on-chain finance through a strategic partnership with Chainlink. The $40B+ global IT company supports banking and payments infrastructure for more than 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide, giving the partnership a potentially broad institutional reach.

The partnership centers on standardizing adoption of the Chainlink platform across institutional finance. That includes the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), Proof of Reserve, Data Streams and Data Feeds.

That list matters. Instead of focusing on one blockchain application, the partnership covers interoperability, compliance, data and reserve verification. Infosys and Chainlink are positioning the collaboration around connecting major financial institutions with on-chain markets.

Chainlink post mentions Infosys credibility in the industry as it has more than 40 years of experience powering trust in financial services. Chainlink also says 8 of the 10 largest investment banks partner with Infosys, adding another institutional angle to the deal.

Still, the immediate announcement is about infrastructure adoption, not a disclosed wave of capital moving on-chain. The companies are creating a path for financial institutions to access on-chain markets using Chainlink’s technology stack.

The bigger question is whether institutional finance actually moves from experimentation toward standardized on-chain infrastructure. This partnership puts Infosys, with its large financial-services footprint, alongside Chainlink’s interoperability, compliance and data tools.

For now, the headline is straightforward: Infosys and Chainlink are working to connect major financial institutions with on-chain markets, while expanding the role of Chainlink infrastructure across institutional finance.
